Tradionally an Easter Bonnet was a straw hat adorned with ribbons and spring flowers. Irving Berlin quite literally wrote a "sonnet" about an Easter Bonnet, it featured in the iconic 1948 musical "Easter Parade" which starred Judy Garland and Fred Astaire. The film also included Astaire & Garland's best known songs "Steppin Out with my Baby" & "We're a Couple of Swells"

It's great that today hats and hair accessories are very much back in vogue and not just for special occasions. Feminine flower clips, floppy hats and fascinators, traditional panamas, sun hats, straw boaters and trilbies.

Spring notes. Red tights on the bright side.

Another day cloaked in mist and rain but there is a bright light on the horizon.
