Trending: Keep Safe Travel Bags

From looking at stories in the news and social media reels its now seems pretty risky to walk around with your mobile out or any sort of bag as street crime is on the rise from bike gangs and pick-pockets.

It seems you are susceptible anywhere in the street, bars, in stores, railway stations and airports. Bearing this in mind I'm "In the Pink" as my husband got me a PacSafe bag and backpack for our next trip. The little crossbody bag has no inner or outer pockets, (not very girlie I know) but perfect for important stuff like Passport, Bank Cards and iPhone. Slim enough to be worn under a shirt or jacket. If warn outside the zipper can be fastened securely and is not easy to undo.

Knit one pearl one - Get knitting. Looks like the good old days are coming back. Art, crafting and crafts, knitting and crochet are amongst the popular things to do these days. Manhattan style Fashion trends that are here to stay.

Mannish style or the boyfriend trend keeps going around and around. It began its journey in the 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s but really made its mark in the 1977 movie ‘Annie Hall’ starring Dianne Keaton who breathed fresh air into the menswear as womenswear mode. White Shirt, monochrome tie, black waistcoat and khaki baggy trousers was then and still is a hit with celebrities and fashionistas. Bowler hat and brogues completed the outfit. My sketches are inspired by the photos from the movie promotions. In another shot Annie is seen with a mix and match girly midi skirt, white shirt with collar up accessorised this time with a monochrome scarf and layered with a traditional oversized male tweed sports jacket. The outfit topped off with a complementary coloured Bowler with ankle boots completing the outfit. Waistcoats and wide leg trousers seem to be the celebrity style at the moment. Waistcoats worn without tops with matching wide-leg trousers in pastel earthy subtle shades beige, pink and green.
