Roland Mouret's Pre-Fall Collection is in the frame today. Sharp design complimented
by sharp shapes and strong colours.
Tops cropped at the waist perfectly fitting
for those high-waisted skirts and trousers. From this angle I can see pure
style, smart tailoring, both fitted, flowing and voluminous, asymmetric bodices, tops with fluted sleeves and
handkerchief skirts embellished with rustic lace hems. Those sculptured tops
can be worn with pencil skirts, cigarette or wide-leg trousers. The “oh-so-French”
Leafield top in black patchwork lace viscose knit offers a sensuous
off-the-shoulder silhouette for those unfussy types who like to dress and
go.
Roland Mouret said
“For this collection, I have taken memories from my childhood in the South
of France. The village, the terraces with views across the azure sea, the
unbeatable oasis of peace and silence - and used this as my inspiration with a
focus on bringing luxury craftsmanship into the wardrobe of the women I
dress."
These sentiments are evident from the stunning photos below he was indeed truly inspired by these surroundings. Pieces like the Carlton Jumpsuit featured,
in azure blue pop out against the backdrop.
