Fabulous Fashion Edition - Giles has landed

It’s nearly the end of 2015. February seems a long time ago but a few fashion moments stood out for me. One was Best British Female Paloma Faith brooding on a rain lashed stage at the Brit Awards She sang 'Only Love Can Hurt Like This' in a stunning black gown with decoratively painted hands which looked as though she'd immersed them in a cauldron of black dye. The other highlight was watching London Fashion Week via the live feed.. I particularly loved the Gothic mood and the drama that was the Giles Show. The stunning girls pranced and paraded round the old Central Saint Martins college building in extravagant gowns with high ruffle collars and bows. The Butterfly effect from one of the balletic models was entrancing - now that's what I call "Striking a Pose. A graduate of Central Saint Martins, Giles Deacon presented his first collection at London Fashion Week in February 2004 The collection was featured in American, British, Japanese, Italian and French Vogue amongst other top titles. In the following November he was awarded 'Best New Designer' at the British Fashion Awards followed by 'British Designer of the Year' at the British Fashion Awards 2006.. Erin O’Connor, Poppy Delevingne, Georgia May Jagger, Karen Elson and Dree Hemingway are just some of supermodels who have sashayed down the runway at his shows and his fairytale silk gowns have also adorned A-listers, like Cate Blanchett on the red carpet. The great news is that you don’t have to be an A-lister or a super model to wear a Giles creation as the new Edition – Giles has just landed at Desigers at Debenhams. (Article  PM Adams 12/11/2015)
